The birth of a vision
Standing On Faith Ministries was born from a profound vision in 2017, when founder Angenita Mabins recognized a critical need within the unhoused community. After a heartfelt initiative in November, where she and a friend distributed 52 of 75 backpacks filled with hygiene essentials to ladies living without walls, Angenita saw firsthand the immense demand for such supplies. This experience, coupled with donating the remaining bags to her church, solidified her understanding of the urgent need for hygiene and sanitation for women. On February 18th, 2018, God spoke to Angenita, transforming her vision into operational reality.
From humble beginnings with backpacks, we evolved to providing new and gently used handbags, each meticulously packed with a full line of hygiene products. These "Handbags of Hope" are more than just a collection of items; they symbolize security and dignity, ensuring that every woman, regardless of her circumstances, feels remembered and equipped with hope. Our purpose is to acknowledge that unhoused women deserve the same opportunities and care as anyone else.

We envision lives transformed, where individuals gain stability in both housing and finances, enabling them to build a secure future.
